Thank you Meg, Clare and Elsie Pie! He really is doing remarkably well. He was up moving around right from the get go and each day even more than the day before. I’ve been massaging him twice a day and he really enjoys that. When he needs to rest he does and he seems to know when to slow it down. Let’s hope for a great 2018 for all our Tripawds.
I’ve been watching Bubba’s blogs and really appreciate the way you’ve been chronicling his journey! It will really be helpful for anyone starting this journey. And this video speaks volumes about how well henis handling his recovery!! 🙂 🙂
Meant to say earlier, please tell your son (and you also) hiw much we DO appreciate his service jn the Vietnam War. And as a Marine! HOO RAAAAH!
My vrother was also a Marine during that rime, as well as many of my high school friends.
I’m glad he has had Bubba to help him through his challenges. And now I’m glad Bubba has you to help him throughhis own challenges! Although Bubba seems to be handling things like a Champ!! 🙂
And I’m sure your beloved Yorkie is being an excellent Guardian Angel from the Bridge!
We’re all cheering for you Bubba!!
Love and hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Such really kind words and greatly appreciated. We’re all here just trying to do our best with this boy. My little Chester is most definitely watching over Bubba, they were great buddies. I enjoy documenting his journey and it’s important to me to do so. I’m thankful for this site to allow me to do so and I’m especially grateful for all the support, and valuable information that is provided. It sure has helped me.
You rockin’ this recovery thing! Been a therapy dawg, sure has its benefits I think! What a very good, smart boy!
It looks like you had a pawsome Christmas! Keep up the good work buddy, you’ll be back to your new hoppy self in no time at all! Good luck with the stitches coming out next week! It’s cause for a Pawty!
I feel the same way about Stewie’s blogs… we are eternally greatful for Tripawds and all that the community gives us! Being able to write his story is a benefit to not only future Tripawds, but it has also been very therapeutic for us!
Wishing you all the very best into the Hoppy New Year!
I’m just in love with your Stewie…. What a great blog you have celebrating his life. Bubs went for his first little walk today (only 5 minutes), but a huge milestone I’d say. We came back and he got his much needed message. It’s been good for him to try and keep as much normalcy as possible. He’s now snoring, lol.
Bubba is our amazingly courageous pawgrandboy. He is our son's service dog and he has spent the seven years of his life taking care of our son. A Marine Veteran who suffered seizures early in his career in the Marines. It is with great relief that his seizures have since resolved. Fast forward, Bubba spends a great deal of his time with my husband and I. He has brought so much joy to us since loosing our beloved Yorkie to cancer last year. I was so heart broken when he was diagnosed with Oseosarcoma Dec. 15th. When the vet told us of the pain he was in and that amputation would free him from this pain we made the decision to focus on quality vs quantity of life. He underwent amputation of his left from leg December 19th. He is eight days post surgery and doing well. Uncertain of how long we have to spend with him, we are committed to make his days on this earth the happiest ever.

Gosh, he’s moving really well. It must feel so great to be outside and in such a glorious environment. I love the way he shakes the snow off his cone!
Sending love,
Meg, Clare and Elsie Pie
